Cadenhead’s Bladnoch 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch – This Lowland mature whisky has some very interesting flavours. On the nose you’ll smell sweet treacle notes, with vanilla and spices – you’ll also be able to smell hints of ginger. Down the hatch, those spices and sweetness will be confirmed with a buttery texture – you’ll also get a light oaky flavour developing, with hints of liquorice. The finish is quite smooth and warming with a very slight kick.
In summary, a quite enjoyable scotch whisky that will be best appreciated on its own or with a very small amount of water to allow the flavours to breathe as always. Not my favourite 21yo Cadenhead’s but as stated before, some very interesting notes.
Cadenhead’s Bladnoch 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky can only be purchased from the Cadenhead’s whisky shop on Chiltern Street or on their online website for approx £59
